Maybe the 6th edition of this course was more comprehensive, but he says he's deleting that once the 7th edition exam comes out. A lot of repeating the same basic concepts ad nauseum, the practice tests asked questions regarding topics that weren't covered in any of the lectures (ITTOs, formulas, etc.), which is how I realized I wasn't getting what I needed. I never see people in this reddit mention it, though, so I was really unsure whether it would be helpful for the exam.ĭecided to also do Joseph Phillip's prep course (updated for post-July) since it's mentioned a lot, but I honestly felt like it was a massive waste of time. That course covers a lot of really useful foundational knowledge and actually covers the PDU reqs for the CAPM exam. I started by taking the Google PM Course and earned the certificate. I always feel the need to include my experience since I think prepping for this is really relative to your base knowledge. I'm super green, meaning I have zero prior PM experience. For those who are preparing for the 7th edition exam, would you share what your approach is to prepare for the exam? Mine is to read PMBOK Guide 7th edition and take Joseph Phillip's course.( ) I would appreciate if you know any exam resources for the 7th edition. Do any of you know if there are exam resources for 7th edition available now? I am thinking to start to watch Ricardo Vargas's video first.I am thinking to take Joseph Phillip's course ( ) in July while waiting for exam prep resources that are reflecting the 7th edition.I am planning to take an exam the 7th edition around September or October this year. I requested PMI a refund for the Project Management Basics course because, after my research in this group, I realized that Joseph Phillips's courses allow me to earn 35 contact hours. Thanks, everyone for commenting on my post. I posted last week asking about how PMI’s online Project Management Basics course is for preparation for the 7th edition CAPM exam.
